Kim Thurlow's Queensland Railways Pictures from the 50's and 60's.

Class C17 4-8-0 with a "sedan cab" has completed shunting the stock and oil sidings, and is returning tender first to Toowoomba, around 1962. The swing gate is the entrance from South Street to the station platform and team track. I do not remember this gate ever being closed.

The engine is now crossing South Street heading towards Toowoomba. I am unable to remember if this was a black engine, or one of the numerous ""Brown Bombers" which were painted mid-brown with green trim.

Send me an email if you liked the show so far. You can also visit my ode to the steam engine.
I am adding more images as I find the time, so check back sometime.
