Passenger Operations around Altkloster (3)

Altkloster (fictional) is a small town in southern Germany on an electrified main line, and many express trains use the route. In many cases, the through trains that don't stop, use the avoiding or interchange line to bypass the station platforms. It is 1965, and the DB has developed new passenger rolling stock for its flagship trains. Here is the new Rheingold train set, first revealed in 1962, but now with a new red and gold paint scheme, hauled by one of the standard E10 electric locos as it heads east from the avoiding line back onto the main line.

The train is made up of two fully lit Marklin sets, numbers 42990 and 42991, and the electric engine is an all metal digital model, Marklin #39120.
