HO scale models of freight engines (2)

This engine was developed in the early decades of the 20th century, but was of such simple rugged design, that it lasted many years into the service of the DB after WWII. Class 55.25-56 is here shown heading an eastbound goods train out of Altkloster in 1960. The wheel arrangement was 0-8-0. I am not sure that the lady of the household appreciates rail traffic on her washing day, but at least #5415 seems to be showing a clear stack, indicating good quality coal, and conservative firing in the town area.

The recently built electric engine shed is in the background. This Marklin model is from digital starter set #29840.
