Housing the Layout.

A lot of money can be tied up in model train collecting or operating, so it makes sense to house it correctly.

My shed is built of Colorbond steel, on a concrete base, and is completely insulated and lined, and lighting and ceiling fan installed. This view shows the site levelled for concreting. I had to cut down a rather large tree to make space. The tree to the left is a macadamia nut tree, native to this part of the world. The trunk hosts a large fern type plant, called a stag-horn, also a native.

The concrete slab.

The completed shed with roller access door. There are windows in the other two sides. Since the photo was taken, an awning and paved area have been installed across the front.
