HO scale models of diesel engines (1)

One day during the 1960s I spotted this interesting diesel hydraulic locomotive at the east end of Altkloster, near the electric engine shed. It is a Köf II diesel shunter, and it has the Mercedes Benz logo. On closer inspection I saw that it belonged to the Sindelfingen plant outside of Stuttgart, where MB have one of their main manufacturing centres. It was used around Altkloster for a few days, but how that was arranged I know not. Perhaps it was on pre-delivery trials.

This is Marklin #34826.
